I had a great Christmas! I spent it with Jeremy, Ashley and their mom Michelle. Michelle really made me feel like I was home. She got me a really nice bath set. And if you know me at all I LOVE bath stuff! Especially now, I take a bath everynight. Its the only time I feel weightless! lol. I got some money from family. I think it all added up to about $350 ( and that was all specifically for me not me and Jesse ) But I only got about 100 of it! lol, Jesse took the rest. Something about food or something... selfish jerk ;) You would not believe how expensive it is over there! He said that a dozen eggs cost around $6! thats just crazy!

Anyhow, So, I sent Jesse a big box for Christmas. He got it today. I tried to make it feel like christmas for him. We usually dont really do gifts. Its just awesome to go out to dinner together. Thats all I ever ask for when its gift time. But I couldn't do that, so I sent him all his favorite goodies. Got him some Cowboys things, and a DVD. But we are also trying to save up money and pay off debt before Harlie gets here. So neither of us did anything extravagant. I told him not to get me anything until after we get some bills paid off. Then He's going downtown and he better get me something cool! lol.

That was our Christmas. I sat down and counted up the holidays we missed together. And out of the 5 years ( it will be 5 years in may 2009) we have been married he's been away for 21 months. Missed 3 of my birthdays, 3 anniversaries, 1 Thanksgiving, and 1 Christmas. So, That is really not bad! I am so Thankful he hasnt been away that much! We have really been lucky! :)

So, theres this girl on myspace. Its one of Jesse's old friends from Mississippi. Well, a few years back she starting calling him. She once asked if she could come visit but if I could not be home. Yeah ok. So, we changed our numbers and we didnt talk to her anymore. She found him on Myspace. So now, she has been messaging him flirting. and when he asked her to stop, she asked for an explanation. Jesse said he didnt owe her one, so he wasnt going to explain why. Plus its pretty well understood that its not ok to flirt with someone elses husband.... or am i just old fashioned? lol So she was leaving messages and comments that were rude. So, I sent her a message and I tried to be nice, i really did. I am a very nice person. You all know me :)
Usually things dont bother me. I mean really... Jesse is a tattoo artist and a piercer. He's tattooed and pierced boobies and other things. I'm not a jealous person. What made me made was that she was being mean to Jesse. ( I know that he can handle it, but it kills me!!) So, The only thing mean i said to her was "If it makes you happy to be mad at me then do that. If it makes you happy to be a bitch, then do that. But Do not make yourself happy by flirting with Jesse or being rude to Jesse. This is over, Now" To be perfectly honest, it took all I had to be that rude. Lol

So, she writes me back and asks if I control Jesse's Whole life or just his internet like. And So I control him because my life with him sucks ( basically) So, I'm a little bit upset. And I have NO IDEA how to handle this!! I am not a person who fights with people, but I will fight for Jesse lol

I had a thing for Jesse Long before we actually met. So I broke up with that guy and then the next day found Jes in the hallway and told him. He said "ok" and walked away! So, he was playing hard to get! lol But he eventually asked me out.
Who wears the pants? Well, We both make the decisions. We discuss and come up with it but when it comes down to it, Jesse has the last say. But its not like he dismisses what i say
What is one of the best things that he does that you love? Its nothing that he just does. I just love how he treats me. I am totally spoiled by him. If I say something bothers me he fixes it. If he does something I dont like he stops. And its not a huge arguement. i tell him all the time that i dont have advise for my friends when they complain about their husbands because I havent complained about him! lol, We just work so well together. And he treats me so well, If i want something he does whatever he can to get it for me. And the beauty is that I do the same for him

Just a cute little story

So, this morning Jesse called me at like 630 am. I dont complain, I'd rather him wake me up than to not call me at all. So, anyway, I answer and we are just talking about everything thats going on. Apparently Harlie can feel when I'm happy because she stared kicking and doing some flips. So, like an hour goes by and she's gone still. I reach down and my stomach is almost a right angle. She has curled up in a ball right under my ribs! The whole right side of my stomach was mushy and the left side was hard. Its just the coolest thing! She likes to stay on my left side and way up high. AND she likes to kick my bladder while head butting my diaphragm. But I enjoy it all. Its such a miraculous feeling! Anyhow, that was my morning :)

This is Monty, our Ball Python. Its kinda hard to see him, hes lying on the log stretched out. I bet his about 4 feet long now. He's fully grown though. Well, he may get a little bigger but not too much. We have had him for 4 years. I got him the first year we were out here for Jesse's birthday.

Harlie's room

So, here is the start of Harlie's room.I picked out a couple of crib sets and I let my family choose between them. I totally love the brown and pink together. (sidenote: I didnt make Pooter sit in the picture. After I finished putting it all together he walked in and sat down when he saw my camera!)

Just some thoughts

So, I know that most people get on here just to look at the pictures. My long wordy blogs aren't that interesting. So, don't read it if you dont wanna! lol

So, I have been doing alot of thinking lately. With Jesse gone it leaves me to my own thoughts, and most of the time, I dont really have anyone to talk to them about! I mean I have great friends and family, but most people just dont get me like Jesse does. I do have a weird sense of humor and an odd way of thinking.

What sparked my recent thoughts was just one event. A small insignificant thing. I got my old Bible down off the bookshelf. ( this is not really going to a great religious epifany) It was just a dollar general King James version. Not really the one you read but the one you shove things in and use for reference. So I'm leafing though to look up Genesis 31:49. (which says "May the Lord watch between me and you while we are apart") and out falls this picture of Jesse. One I haven't seen in years. It was from his first deployment ( which looking back seemed so much easier than this one) but when it fell out and I realized what it was, my heart skipped a beat. And I got a SWARM ( not one or two butterflies, but thousands! ) of butterflies in my stomach. In February we will be together for 6 years. It makes my heart so happy that I have been with a man, who still after 6 years, ( past the honeymoon stage) can still give me butterflies! I totally love the fact that he still has that effect on me. that stumbling over your words, act like a retard, butterflies in the stomach, loving being so in love with him effect! Yet still be so comfortable with him that I pick my nose and fart in front of him and tell him all the gross effects of pregnancy! Its just so amazing, and even though I am that totally unlady-like country girl from the sticks he still loves me! lol

just an update

So, I dropped Jesse off at the Airport on Sunday. Sooo by the time I see him again I will have perfected the 'pregnant twist'. lol I told him when I pick him up in march, he will know who I am because I will be the one waddling up to him! lol

I have felt Harlie move quite a few times now. She's still so suttle. I am totally enjoying being pregnant. It seems to be the only time my stomach is hard! Alot has to do with how easy its been. I know I have been incredibly lucky...which makes me worried. If the pregnancy is easy, in my mind, the labor and delivery will be hard. If Harlie is anything like me, she will only make it hard for her mother. LOL

sooo we are having a girl!

Im reading this book...

I Love Debbie Macomber. I've read probably 15 of her books in the last year. Right now, I'm reading Thursdays at Eight. So far its about 4 women who are all in different phases of life. They met in a journalism class and bonded so well they decided to meet outside of class. On Thursdays at eight.

They were all supposed to come up with a word that reflects whats happening in their lives and who and where they want to be. So I got to thinking, what word would describe me? Which puts me in a weird place, to evaluate myself, my life, and what others see in me. Its no question that a lot of people would have chosen a different road, granted mine has not been incredibly hard, just different. In being me, I disappointed a lot of my family, and friends, but in the end you have to be true no matter what other people think. So I think that is my word True. It has gotten me into a lot of "issues"with people, but being true to how I feel and what I Need (not necessarily want) is the only way to feel good about myself. If I wasn't then who would I be

In the book one of the women wrote a list of what she is grateful for. I thought I would do that too since I have so much to be grateful for.

I did a gift registry.I dont know the gender of the baby yet, so I just put what I wanted if it is a girl or a boy. Most things are good for either sex, except the really girly things. like the pink leopard shoes. lol

I got stuck in the washer today!

So, I married a mechanic. Because of that fact, Jesse often unplugs my dryer to plug in his welder. He's building a chopper right now so my dryer is almost ALWAYS unplugged. So I moved the dryer to get behind it and plug it up, but that silver hose thingy kept coming unplugged. Finally I get everything situated and move the dryer back into place, to find that it came unplugged again! So I decided this calls for a different approach. I climbed into the washer to reach behind the dryer. I still couldnt reach! So I had to use a pair of long pliers to smack the thing in. The dogs freak out and all three come into the laundry room wonering why this crazy woman is standing in the big white square thing. So at this point, I can move my body around so that I dont kill myself. It takes my probably 5 minutes to manuver my feet around to jump out. All this time I have been wearing a pair of too big maternity pants that were falling down. So by the time I hike my leg up to the side of the washer, my pants fall down around ankles. So almost died today.

Jesse's Car

So since I quit working Jesse has been driving my truck. We have two cars, one that I drove all the time and jesse's car. My truck is the one that has payments, i guess just more reliable. He always has a more difficult car. Its usually 'classic' of some sort. old, and kinda hard to deal with. But he picks them out. He loves to have an old 70's model POS truck. Well, his car right now ( I say right now, because he trades and sells his cars so frequently) is a '65 Ford Galaxie. Now, it is a sexy car. But with him driving MY truck I have to drive the Galaxie if i need to go anywhere. Its not sooo bad. But right now, the power steering pump leaks so its drives like there is none. and its a freakin land yact! Its gorgeous, and I am a damn good lookin woman driving it, so i dont complain that much. lol, but it is hard to drive! Here's a picture of the Pontoon on wheels. I drove that car around all day running errands, and you wouldnt believe the looks i got. Now I know that I am gorgeous, and me driving this car and just hot, but come on do you have to gawk? ROTFL! i so crack myself up!

Jesse has done all my tattoos but one. The calalilly on my chest was done by Don. Don is the guy who has taught Jesse, or just Jesse's boss at the tattoo shop. The whole arm is a work in progress. We have to wait until the baby is here and I quit breastfeeding before we can finish it. We are going to put the green, checkered flames up my arm behind the other two skulls. Then add some stars and dust around the fire. Then we are done! I'm sure he'll want to start something else after that lol.

So this is my first profile picture. I am 14 weeks today. Which to normal people is 4 months. Keep in mind, I have always been a big girl, so I look further along than I am. The baby book says I should be able to feel the baby move in the next few weeks!! I'm really excited about that!

So, I have to throw in this story. Jesse has been working at the tattoo shop regularly for the last 6 months or so. He's been working on this full sleeve on this girl for a couple of months. Well, she has a little ( well, 'little' isnt the correct term, big, mean, and pesky, fits more) friend who is so freaking annoying! Jesse was talking about us being pregnant and this annoying girl overheard. The next time she came in she said, "Wow you look like you're about to pop!" ( I am in complete state of DISLIKE for this girl now...working on hating her) I turn around and say, "I'm 8 weeks pregnant, but thanks for that." She turned around and walked away. Look, I know I'm not small, and I know that I look probably 7 months pregnant, but I am ok with that. Do you know why I'm ok with that? Because I have Jesse's baby growing inside me. Not some jerk who treats me bad. But a wonderful man, who has wanted to be a Daddy since he was a teenager (not just knocking someone up but he wanted the family and the life). I know he will a be a phenomenal father.

Just figured

I'd jump on the blog band wagon. I thought maybe I'd steal an idea from Aunt Kim and see the postive in everything. In case you haven't heard the news, Jesse and I are going to have a baby. I hate saying "I'm pregnant" because it isn't just me, its both of us. And I feel so old when I say "I'm pregnant". The sentence leaves a weird tast in my mouth LOL. Dont get me wrong, I am overjoyed that I'm on my way to be a mommie. And I couldn't have picked a better daddy for my kid. ( I truly believe that I had nothing to do with us being together... it was a God thing)

He's already talking about going to football games, he even wants to be a coach! I mean the baby isnt even here yet and he's talking about being the football coach or the softball coach. He will be great!

We find out the sex of the baby the end of october. I'm hoping for a healthy baby. I read though that boys are easier. My experience working at the youth center has made me want boys. lol. Girls are just catty, I do think that if i have a girl, she wont be the typical girl. I already have thoughts of how I'm gonna dress her, blue jeans and chucks! lol

The only crappy thing is that Jesse is going to miss a huge chunk of the pregnancy. He's going TDY for a few months, and will barely make it back by the due date (march 22 2009) . The only upside to that this TDY will pay off all our debt. which will make it easier for us when the baby gets here.
